His photography is quite unique, colors, angles, textures...so awesome. Doug is fun so consider yourself lucky and privileged you’ll be given high quality photos, a relaxed atmosphere, and a photographer friend for the future!
2007 in Arizona…One of the most carefree shoots I have ever had the pleasure of being on…I was nervous, but immediately I felt comfortable…He was laughing and joking with me…I had a princess crown with me and before long Doug was wearing it, not necessarily at his own volition, but wearing it nonetheless…He has no problem helping you loosen up to get some lovely shots…he has a wonderful spirit and is absolutely a wonderful photographer…He has the fine art down of being professional, while showing a lot of personality on the set. I’d love to work with him again someday.
Doug Kean was a breeze to work with…lots of energy and the interest of the model throughout…He provided excellent customer service…One of the most reliable photographers. Thanks Doug!
My experience working with Doug was an AWESOME time!!! I liked how you were expressing your ideas…and also let me try my thoughts…I liked the energy and the result of our work…One thing that is WRONG though... We got to work only once!
What I hope for is that after you post my message, and everyone sees it, you’ll have to arrange another shoot with me to support your goodwill :))) You’re creative, energetic and FUN!!!
I’m honored to have worked with such an imaginative and exuberant photographer…He’s extremely professional…truly strives to create an environment conducive for creative flow…sets a tone of comfort and ease, while expressing a passion for the modeling/photography biz. Each image is a reflection of his heart and soul poured into creating a look that is most unique and inspiring. It's not so much about taking a picture as it is capturing the artistic essence and spirit in each of us. This sets Doug apart from any other photographer…he artistically and uniquely personifies each and every model, and exudes overwhelming passion, enthusiasm and genuine professional sincerity that is so rare to find in this industry. What more can I say in regards to this amazing master of the lens!
Great to work with Doug…very responsible and professional…makes the model feel very comfortable and to have a glamorous time…He has very creative ideas about how to pose. I had such a great time working with him.
Working with you was completely relaxing and comforting…never were harsh or abrasive having nothing but respect the whole time…I wish we had more time to work together. Much success.
I met Doug at a Photo workshop…I noticed right away that Doug was very outgoing, energetic and easy to talk to. I didn’t know what to expect as I had no idea how to properly work with a model. Doug shot before me. I was immediately struck by his demeanor and confidence behind the camera…he was completely at home and comfortable communicating instructions to the model…I was impressed...he had a gift and that was his ease with people.
We decided to hold a shoot together to get source photos for my painting project…his studio is very well designed…at the 5 + hour shoot. Doug never stopped except to pop in a new memory card…his level of energy is one of his best traits…
Crouching on the floor or climbing up a ladder, he was a blur of energy… he gently reinforced the model’s confidence with a “oh that’s great” or “perfect”…with 465 shots taken that day, I can honestly say that there are quite a few that will make great paintings.
You are one of the most creative and innovative photographers I’ve ever worked with. Our first session involved shooting at an old barn and killing ticks off of my green boots…then at a fire hydrant while a lightning storm approached…but these made for some great shots…when we shot inside you go so motivated that two more shots turned into another 30 minutes of shooting!…we produced some of the best shots in my portfolio…you’re very funny and easy to work with… I’m glad you had extra clothes and jewelry for me to add to my looks…You’re the best. And the Abercrombie bathroom was a good backdrop for yet another shot…The way you capture me is rare and always seems to work, looking at the final product…If I had a dollar for every time I had a great pose and you made me hold it, I’d be rich…you’re a very kind individual, giving me directions on both occasions…We shot my first artistic photos together and I felt completely comfortable the entire time…I’ve said this to say it was a pleasure working with you and I love all the concepts we shot…Much success in the future…and thanks for all of the amazing shots you added to my portfolio. See you at the top.
